Terms of Service

Effective date: 1 January 2025

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Panchikawaththa. By using the platform you confirm that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that we determine belong to users under 13.

2. Your Account

• You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when registering.
• You may not create accounts for others without their permission, or operate multiple accounts to evade a ban.

3. Content You Post

You retain ownership of content you post on Panchikawaththa. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and store that content on the platform and in previews (such as social media link cards).

You are solely responsible for the content you post. We do not endorse user-generated content and are not liable for it.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to post or share content that:

• Is unlawful under Sri Lankan law or any applicable law.
• Harasses, threatens, or bullies other users.
• Contains hate speech, discrimination, or incitement to violence.
• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others.
• Is spam, phishing, or deceptive advertising.
• Contains explicit sexual content involving minors.
• Is malware, viruses, or any harmful code.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these rules and to suspend or permanently ban accounts that repeatedly or seriously breach them.

5. Marketplace

Panchikawaththa provides a marketplace feature for listing vehicles and other items. We are not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers. We do not verify listings, guarantee items, or mediate disputes. Users transact at their own risk. Listings must be accurate and must not involve stolen goods or fraudulent sales.

6. Groups

Group owners and moderators are responsible for the content posted in their groups. We reserve the right to remove groups that violate these Terms or our community guidelines.

7. Intellectual Property

Panchikawaththa, its logo, and all platform content created by us are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce or use them without our written permission.

8. Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from security vulnerabilities. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your use of the platform.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, with or without notice.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from your use of Panchikawaththa shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
